The Ghanaian social media space has recently received a new wave of atmosphere, following the alleged repentance of two most popular celebrities & Slay Queens, Wendy Shay and Moesha Boduong. Wendy Shay & Moesha
Many did not anticipate that this phenomenon would unfold suddenly in the lives of these personalities, but just as each and every individual in this world deserves salvation, they are also deserving of it.
In a video that went viral on social media, Moesha Boduong narrated to Ghanaians how men used all forms of avenues to chance on her and utilized her body anyhow they wanted. She further disclosed that some of these men are into occultic practices; hence, the monies they give to young girls (Slay Queens) after sleeping with them turn out to bring more misfortunes in their lives.
Moesha, the alleged born-again Christian pledged never to sleep with any man again until she is married.
Meanwhile, she has already attempted suicide for more than four times, according to reliable reports.
This then brings an argument as to whether she is indeed a repented being, in the process of repenting or actually facing a mental problem.
While a lot of issues were popping up in relation to Moesha’s repentance, Wendy Shay was critically following what she was doing. It appears that she was touched by the video Moesha recently released; hence, has decided to follow her footsteps.
In an interview with Okay FM, Wendy Shay confidently revealed, saying: “I have the light: Jesus Christ is the way, truth and light; if you find Him and entrust everything to Him, things will fall in the right place.”
The renowned Ghanaian songstress further disclosed in a statement: “I have now redeemed myself. You know the relationship with God has so many levels. I am not the closest to God, but I am in a where I trust God entirely as He has shown His Grace and Power.”
She has turned it into a real life event, saying: “My platform is not just my music. I have 2.3 million followers on Instagram, 1.6 million on Facebook, and 1 million on Twitter. I have started preaching on social media pages.
When I came back from Germany, I wasn’t a believer, but now, I am closer to God, and, I want to bring my fans to Him too.” This is so touching, and I believe amidst all the controversies surrounding the repentance of celebrities in Ghana, she should be given the chance to do exhibit her born-again Christian qualities and characteristics.
